Posted over 2 years ago Don't forget about herbal drugs and how they interact with medications. Select all that apply can be anything ex. signs of left sided chf or signs of hyperkalemia. They are probably the most difficult alternate format questions on nclex; no partial credit just right or wrong.

Posted over 2 years ago Know what patients can room together on isolation. Know delegation. The book by LaCharity is excellent. Usually it is something the nurse can do before calling the doctor. Think about safety issues when answering questions. I prayed, prayed, and prayed before answering each question. I did not keep track with what number I was on. Wishing you the best. I have a dear friend who is also testing that day.

Posted over 2 years ago I am also schedule to take my NCLEX on 2/9 and am very nervous. I took the Kaplan NCLEX review course because so many before me and other RNs said it was excellent. I am glad I took this course because it gives you a strategy for answering questions. Since then I have been able to do better on practice questions. That still doesn't help with my anxiety. I have 4 wks and am already nervous. Thanks to all who have replied with your advise. All is very helpful. Linda M Chapman

Posted over 2 years ago found deep breathing to be effective. I took an herbal med a few weeks before called Valerian Root which helped me to destress and always think the basics and pt. safety first! I did 4000 practice ?'s to prep, took to review classes, and studied for three months! You can do anything you put your mind to! Never Give Up!
