Posted over 2 years ago I have heard of some pretty crazy baby names in my time. But, I will swear these names are for real. I have a friend that was a social worker nearby, and these are names of actual babies. 1. Female (pronounced fe-ma-lee) 2. Twins: orangello and lemongello (with the g pronounced soft, not hard) I know there are more out there. What say ye? Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN

| Posted about 2 years ago my ex was a musician who played for cuba's national band. they were sent all over the world representing cuban music. he told me that because of guantanomo bay, with all the navy ships (which have USNAVY painted on them, that the cuban people were naming their kids Usnaby....he said he thought, they thought, it was an american name and they loved anything american! i couldnt even laugh at first, i thought he was pulling my leg. it turns out, he says, "its a very popular name is cuba"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Posted 10 months ago I have enjoyed reading this posts!! I work part-time as a secretary, so I meet a lot of people. I'll share a few names of people that I haven't met in person though (glad I didn't, they don't get to see the shook on my face, lol), but I honestly have came across these names at work. No kidding!!! First names only:
There's actually a very very long list of names that get me to wondering what was going on. :-) But hey, I have two brothers with the first name Matthew. I also my mom and my baby sister's middle name is the same as my older sister's first name. I have 5 siblings! That left me and my sister to be the odd ones out. Lol. I was named after my father's mom and I believe my younger sister after my mom's friend........I guess. :-) Peace & Blessings, Maria |

| Posted 10 months ago OMG, If I could only remember some of the names my students had in Michigan.. It took me months to remember them all.. And then they would use the black board to come up with some names for their babies... They would use the other names in their family and scramble the letters around. They actually were very pretty names, but unpronouncable for me...LOL Who would of guessed, coming from an Italian family, My first son was named after his Grandfather, John and my next son was named after his father, James...It is as it is, that's the rules..LOL My brother John, (yes, that's the rules, Ha Ha Ha) has 2 beautiful grand daughters and atleast my niece got a little creative.. The first one was named Brooklyn, because that where grandpa was born and The next one's name is Britian because that's where grandma is from.. It is amazing how people do come up with some names. But the truth is that they really put some time and feeling to find that perfect name.. Hugs, Teresa (After my grandma) |

| Posted 10 months ago Yes, it is amazing that sometimes though so crazy to others, these names have been thought about for quite a bit of time. I remember as an ice breaker in elementary, a teacher had us all do a journal of how we got our names.. I actually enjoy the stories behind the names. Everybody has a story and our names (titles) aren't the start of end of us. Sometimes, we may even run into people whose personalities don't match their names... to others, but to their parents it doesn't change a thing. *True people: I have known ladies named "precious" and others named after gems and jewels, but they were mean and hard to get along with, yet their parents were sweet.... I guess you get where I am headed. People are beautiful... God said everything he made was good. but when he made man he said "very good." :-) |

| Posted 10 months ago My goodness, I would just like to know what goes through parents' minds when they decide on these names for their children. I would really resent my parents if they gave me such "big" names to carry. Oh my!
