A multgravida mother died after she had delivered quadilets, this happend 2 days when i witnessed because i was the nurse attending to the mother. she came in the hospital at 2PM complaining of labourlike pains but the doctor had done an Ultrasound scan that reveled 4 feotuses in the uterus. i monitored her until 10pm when she began pushing, unfountely there weren't any Doctor around, so she pushed the first three babies but she lost energy on the fourth baby, we tried to rescusitate but unfoutntely we failed, and she passed away. The three babies are doing well and are kept under intestive care unit but the fourth passed away.

oh! This is so sad. But at least 3 of the babies survived. Who will care for them now?

How heartbreaking...my prayers to the babies who survived, and condolences to this woman's family.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!

Death is never an easy thing to bear.. especially when it's an infant as well as the mom. My prayers are with them and the surviving babies. I really hope they make it.

Isaac,
I am sorry to hear of this woman and her family. How tragic. I hope you know that not only are my thoughts and prayers going out to this family, but also to you. I witnessed something in nursing school that involved the death of a healthy full term baby. Death happens even under the best circumstances and care (doctor, ultrasounds, surgical suite, etc). I watched as seasoned nurses seriously question their careers and the care that this woman was given prior to the tradgedy. They were searching and searching for the answers as to how in the world this just happened. We had a bereavement meeting and lots of support. I guess what I am trying to say, is this...I hope you can seek the support that you need at this time. The second guessing, re-living and grieving for this woman is part of the healing process. You too are healing. However, if you dont take the time for yourself now, it could affect things further down the road: your physical and mental health, sleep and eating patterns, withdrawl from normal activities and relationships,etc..
Be kind and gentle to yourself is what I am trying to say...
My thougts and prayers,
Bobbi

This story is so sad for everyone involved. This just goes to show how short life is and we do not know what each day may bring. This makes me want to hug my kids!!!

I am so sorry for the lost of your patient, and I am so sorry for the three triplets that have to go through life without a mother. I am especially sorry for the unborn fetus, that never had a chance to experience life. My prayers go to all them.

I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health.
