Registry Nursing - getting acquainted

Posted over 1 year ago I would really appreciate advice on how to make the most of registry nursing, and: What are your experiences? What's the best way to do well at it? How do you make the most of your contacts at new places? What tricks do you have for orientation? Does someone typically orient you to the unit on your first day there or are you on your own?! I am new to registry - have not yet in fact gotten any assignments yet - and would love to hear about other's experiences. Looking forward to hearing from all you registry RNs out there! btw, am a relatively new RN with 3 years exp in ICU. Am just a little nervous about working in new units and want to make good impressions out there. Thanks!

| Posted over 1 year ago When I did registrry for a few months it was for mass vacination sites. We had a contact to meet with, got instructions from them, and were then basically turned lose. I liked it. The company was great. Just be sure who your contact is, get aquainted, and ask questions if there's any concerns about the unit! -Angela--'--,--{@ |
