Posted over 1 year ago My friend recently told me about a 2-day Phlebotomy Certification program. It looks and sounds good and I was just wondering how helpful it would be for me to get a Phlebotomy Certification. Check it out and let me know what you think: http://www.CertificationTrainingExperts.com/cpt.html |

| Posted over 1 year ago Hi everyone, I have a certification in Aromatherapy. I love this aspect and the incorporation with my patient care. One has to be aware of contraindications before using aromatherapy. I use candles, if there is no O2 in the room. I then use gentle massage, on the scale of 3, with a mixture of my own aromas or a Jojoba oil mix called "Relaxation". I also apply a drop of Lavender on each side of the pillow case. I will then begin massaging my patient, or even the primary caregiver, or both. I just speak briefly about how this will help relax them and to just try to clear their mind. From that point on, I do not speak. If my patient or caregiver is modest, I massage areas that are exposed. When using the Relaxation Oil, I wear gloves, so that I can stay awake!!! I have always believed in "hands on care". This is the main reason why I remained an LVN, due to the fact in the use of Primary Care, we were with our patients more often than our partner RN. The RN had her own duties, just as I had mine. But I continue, to this day, to love to touch my patients. The healing power of touch is wonderful to witness, and so comforting for the patient or caregiver. |
