Posted over 5 years ago Hi all! I have been in the medical field for about 15 years now. I started with Dental assisting got sick of dealing with cavities so I moved onto another cavity..lol CNA..then decided to do the QMA and couple years later went back to school for my Cardio Tech. Now..Im ready for school again, this time Im gonna go for my RN. The only prob is, I heard you have to take a Asset/compass test and some other test before you can even enroll. Does anyone know where I can get info to study for whats on those test? Any advise? |

| Posted over 5 years ago Sorry Shelby but I have never heard of either of those tests. Way back when it was based on ACT score and I had to take a math test as well as have an interview after the whole application process. Hope someone here can help. Good luck and hang in there. |

| Posted over 5 years ago Shelby, I live in Texas and I was a CNA as well. I had to take a test called Compass six years ago for College admission and it was basic math, formulas, algera, reading comprehension..I did not have any review materials and passed it. It was very basic. Now, I did have to take a NET test, which is the Nursing Entrance Test for RN school. The test is just like the compass test basic math, and english comprehension. I do believe amazon and local colleges have study material for the NET test. I wish you the best of luck. I just took my NCLEX-RN yesterday and I will find out my results tomorrow. Goodluck in school!! |

| Posted over 5 years ago compass test lets the school know what level you are at in math, reading, and english...If you place above what is required for developmental classes you will not have to take them....I had to take 2 developmental math because it had been 10 years since i last had any math classes...... |
