I need some major advise on this.  Can anyone advise on what options one may have that has to pay out of pocket for school?  Can't get financial aid through the college that I am interested in due to some issues.  I really want to go to this school because it offers the only evening and weekend ADN program in my area and academically it is the best.

Hi Joyce

Yes I have talked to the financial counselor at this school but really didn't get any where with them.  I have asked until I am blue in the face what other options I would have in order to pay for college and can't seem to get any answers.  I know there has got to be something out there. I have heard of people getting thousands of dollars to pay for school and to help with their finances while they go to school but when I inquire about it I get looked at like I am some sort of alien.

Maybe you can apply for scholarships? Sometimes an organization will award certain scholarships due to hardships a particular individual is facing. Check out one of our sister sites Fastweb and see if you can find anything there?

Hope things work out for you! Keep us posted :)
