Posted about 2 years ago how many nurses think home health is not as rewarding as being in the hospital setting? How many home health nurses realize that the work don't benefit the pay? |

| Posted about 2 years ago Hiya Tammy, I think the nursing field has so many opportunities that every one can do whatever their heart decides.. I did a little home health and I just adored the patients I took care of. That is not my job of choice however, it was very rewarding to me when I was able to do it.. Teresa |

| Posted about 2 years ago I did home health for a good little while one time. I loved it! I think there is a little too much paperwork for my liking, however. Everyone has their "niche" they are specially made for. It was for me at the time I did it. Now, I am doing other things. Joyce Harrell, RN, OCN

| Posted about 2 years ago " One has to have the sentimental place in their heart aspiring to be a home health advocate. Just initiated this opportunity, recently, and, " I very much enjoy it".From numerous occasions over time. I have often become frustrated to tell someone in need to, "wait for assistance,( when everyone was busy),ie.toileting, fresh H20 cup, etc.),especially when alotted, break times conflict with requests for care.It is true that facilities project scheduling ratios per unit, though homecare nursing does provide, " that extra reassurance to the parents of children in need that their special-someone will be there." |

| Posted about 2 years ago I am currently an LVN and I do both. I worked for a home health co. as a c.n.a. Now I do home health hospice and hospital registry. Both are rewarding. There are times where I like to be with a patient and have one on one conversations and in some situations have there family around. There are also times that I love collaborating with other nursing and talking about problems that arise throughout the day. I do believe it takes a special person to provide "quality" home healthcare. |
