Hi, I am going to try to get into the program at Temple College in Taylor. They have the HESI A2 test for the entrance exam. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has taken this exam. I know there are a few different kinds out there. They deduct points & everything for not even being in the Taylor area(-1) and then if you'v already taken speacialty comp. & AP 1 they give you a pt. each. for that. I also imagine your background check counts if you get into the nursing program. Sounds like they are harsh on this part as well. Any info will help me out. I have done nurses aid, then to medical assisting and stopped to being a full time mom. When they go to school, I want to start school.

I haven't taken this exam. Can you get a hold of study guides for this exam?

There are HESI Study guids out there BUT just recently i foud out the stuff that was contained inside the book without purchasing it, and it was not just math and english. On Taylors website they say/mention math & english are the 2 subjects you need to know for the test. so now Im a bit confused. I want the info before having to go all the way down to there siminar to get it...i guess then feeling stupid and not having all of my question too.

Acording to what I found while researching, the subject matter also contains:

HESI specialty exams were developed to assess students' knowledge and their ability to apply nursing concepts within specific content areas.

Best of luck to you..Teresa
