Posted over 5 years ago 1. Your houseplants are all alive, and you can't smoke any of them. 2. You keep more food than beer in the fridge 3. Six a.m. is when you get up, not when you go to bed. 4. You hear your favorite song in an elevator. 5. You watch the Weather Channel. 6. Your friends marry and divorce instead of "hook up" and "breakup." 7. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14. 8. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up." 9. You're the one calling the police because those %&@# kids next door won't turn down the stereo. 10. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes around you. 11. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore. 12. Your car insurance goes down and your car payments go up. 13. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonald's leftovers. 14. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt. Sex in a twin bed is out of the question. 15. You take naps. 16. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one. 17. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 3 AM would severely upset, rather than settle, your stomach. 18. You go to the drug store for ibuprofen and antacid, not condoms and pregnancy tests. 19. A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer "pretty good stuff." 20. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time. 21. "I just can't drink the way I used to" replaces "I'm never going to drink that much again." 22. Ninety percent of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work. 23. You drink at home to save money before going to a bar. (otherwise known as pre-partying) 24. When you find out your friend is pregnant you congratulate them instead of asking "Oh, s***! What the hell happened?" 25. You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you and can't find one. |

| Posted about 5 years ago Funny, I don't ever want to grow up!! Lifes to short to be an adult, although I'd die if I did half the things I use to do. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

I have a hard time staying up to watch a movie late. let alone staying up all night party and then going to school like nothing ever happen. But I do have to say "life in the fast lane was great!" Kids, family, real jobs and responibities, yes changes everything. |

| Posted about 5 years ago Ain't that the truth. During my LPN program, several decades ago...I would party all night, shower and head to school. Now I worry when I'm up past ten and I have school at eight. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

| Posted about 5 years ago OMG. Thanks for the laughs. I'm new to the site and just eeked in at 31 as a bona fide late bloomer. Just working on nursing pre-reqs and paying totally out of pocket since I blew all my financial aid eligibility during the first round at four-year. Not that any of those classes count, since I waited over 10 years to have my career epiphany. So, amidst the looming tution bills, your post was a much needed reprieve! |
