Hello all. I am new to this site and I a so glad I found it. I just recently decided to go back to school to become an LPN. I really want to go all the way to becoming an RN. Financial issues are making that impossible right now as I need a job as quick as possible so I can pay for school myself. So I guess my question is once I finish with this LPN program I am in how do I continue my education to becoming an RN and also where are LPN able to work.

Thanks in Advance
Crystal

Crystal, There are bridge programs where you can go from LPN to RN. Many programs take into account students are probably working and going to school. So you can work as an LPN while going to RN school. LPNs can work in many settings: office, hospital, nursing home, home health, etc. I work in a hospital that has great tuition reimbursement. Usually you have to work for your employer for a certain amount of time to repay this. Also, there are tons of nursing scholarships out there. Check them out!!
