I have been keeping up with the news about our trillion dollar debt, and how bush has to make a 200 million dollar tax cut in America, How the dollar has lost it's value and how bad the reallastate market dropped at 22% last year, and that we might be heading towards a Recession in America. What effects this might have on the health care profession?

I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health.

I'm no economist.... but, even in good times, many Americans find it difficult to pay for health care coverage. It stands to reason that, if recession does hit, things will only get worse. That's why the presidential candidates are emphatic about their position regarding the economy. The economy is the single biggest issue of the election.

I'll say this though.... given the health care staffing crisis.. your job should be relatively safe. You're needed.

That's my two cents.
