I'm 40 years old, I just decided to live my dream and become a nurse.  I  have always wanted to be a nurse.  I started a family early and never was able to go to nursing school, because I had to make ends meet. I was a single mom and I still am.  Does anyone have any advice to give me?  I  am stepping out on faith.  I just got accepted to a college and hope to apply for the nursing program in the fall of next year.

Congratulations on becoming accepted into school. This may be a tough rode for you because of being a single parent.. But it absolutely can be done.. There are many forums on this site that can explain how other people go to school with your issues. I want to wish you the very best of luck and May god Bless you in all of your future endeavors..Don't forget this site. There is alot of knowledge here , so if you need any assistance please don't hesitate to ask.. Hugs,Teresa

I am starting nirsing school at 40 also.  I am so excited and nervous, but I know I can do it.  I can't wait to experience what careers are out there.  I won't have any children at home by the time I am finished and will be able to try anything I want.
