Hi, all nurses within TEXAS,
I am a native Texan, and have lived here from almost all my life. I say "almost all my life" because I am not yet dead!
Have any of you had problems with nursing in rural areas in Texas. I have tried several ways to nurse in rural Austin County, Tx, and had to decide to leave this type of nursing because my license to practice would be at risk. This is a very medically underserved area of Texas, and I had hoped to nurse here, even at lower pay. But, there are too many nurses and caregivers with agendas that are dangerous to the patient and those of us who practice, teach and render excellent care.
Many of the "agencies" do not have a Medical Director, or even a PA, or a nurse manager. Thus, the "agency" is run by people who have no medical knowledge and demand things that are unethical and even illegal.
I would love hearing if any of you have problem solved this type of situation, and how you accomplished this.
