After 28 years of being an RN I went back to school and got my BSN , and now will be starting my Masters. I took 6 mths off for school and now am looking for a job. I don't know what hospitals are looking for in a nurse these days. I really want to teach healthcare providers geriactric care, that is where my passion lies. but till that dream job comes up, I need work in a hospital. Any suggestions? I have great skills, I worked in home care for 19 years, and I think most nurses don't know what that entails and the high degree of competence it requires. I wonder if the ignorance of those who hire is hurting me in finding employment.
