Teresa,I didn't know where to post this and I just wanted everyone to see it. I want to add an extra thank you for all the work you put into NL. Your replys are great, you answer most of the posts if not all of them, your encouragment is very helpful to those in need and your knowledge about topics speaks for itself! I made sure as a nurse to praise the team that I worked with if they deserved it that is and you deserve alot of praise. Keep up the excellent job you are doing!                  Joni

Hiya  Guys, thank you so much for the most caring words.. You actually brought me to tears..I hope that I could continue to encourage the members on NL...It's something I recieved back in college, 100 years ago, and it was a very nice thing for me to recieve..So I try to carry on that tradition..We all get scared and nervous about the unknown, but I think if we can encourage our members to forge through and they know we are here to help them, It will make wondeful nurses in the future... God Bless you both, and thank you again for being my friend... Hugs,Teresa

Teresa,

You have a wonderful sense of humor!!! I, too, attended nursing school 100 years ago.

I want to thank you for scooting pipipeng off the site. I don't know where this person came from, but this was one weird dude!

I love the forum on "to be or not to be". I am not a certified teacher, but I love to mentor using my own experience in nursing. I do, however, always teach my patients. In all of my years of nursing, my teaching was validated by a patient 6 months ago...she was 100 years old. She was as sharp as a tack, could still ambulate with assistance and a hx x 2 of hospitalizations for fecal impactions. When I met her and I told her my own age, she said "Well, you aren't a Spring Chicken yourself, are you?"

This is the reason why I love geriatrics....they say exactly what they want to say. The good manners are out the door, the smoke screens are gone, and I find the true nature and humor that has been hidden by my geriatric patients.

Blessings to you!

SusyS, Thank you again for your kind words.. No I'm definately not a spring chicken either..  But that's Ok,, we earned our scars and expeirences... That is why we can be an encouragement to our members.. If you don't have 100 years in this field, any one can also be a mentor here, too.. Hugs,Teresa
