| Posted over 1 year ago I am not a neuro nurse, but to me, just speculating....there is a cyst on the T-6 area of the spine effecting the nerve in that area. The cyst can be either benign or malignant. The pressure of the cyst (if it is becoming larger, or moves when the patient moves a certain way) effects the nerve at the posterior part of the T-6 and radiates the pain to the rib cage on the anterior side of the body. Has this cyst been tested, needle bx, xray, ultrasound...etc.? It would be very difficult to render an opinion unless tests are run, a hx taken of this event...when the pain began, etc. A neurologist would be the Doc of choice for this patient.....at least in the beginning. Good luck, especially if this is a family member. Let all of us know if you find out any further information. |
