@ Diane28ph Just try to write an appeal, It will not hurt. I just mailed mine today. You should summarize your OB theory and clinical hours and mail it to them and explain your hours. But for the meantime, I applied for LVN exam. |

| Posted over 1 year ago zaj1002, I graduated in 1974 (yikes) from Florida.. I got my Associates then and after obtained a 2 Bachelor degrees in both Nursing and Education .. Although I'm willing to help, this issue is something terrible for all foreign nurses..I certainly will do what I can... Teresa |

Well making this story short – losing hair, weight, sleepless & other bunch of stress related symptoms and most important not being able to work because you don't have a work permission and being in the waiting position for the long time - losing your qualification.....this is what I got dealing with CA NB... so, if you are ready for all this - go for it. This is a system - a BIG MACHINE - a meat grinder machine. They already made their request by sending a listing requirements what they need from you - another SCHOOL. |

@ Diane I addressed it to the international licensing analyst his name is MZ (the same person who didn't approve me) . I live in LA and I will try to inquire too. Maybe we can get together and find a school that will take us. |

| Posted over 1 year ago i think it's all the filipino rn graduates from the philippines problem. i have the same problem as well, actually i already took nclex 3x and failed it so i decided to take a review class and reapplied again to take it in the fourth time. i received a letter today that they reject my REAPPLICATION to take the test because i didn't meet the requirements in med-surg and obstetrics. wooooowwww... i was so pissed. after all the money i spent, it's gonna be hard for me to go back to school. im in a middle of financial difficulties right now paying 2 car loans plus sending money to my love ones in the philippines. the only option i have rignt now is getting a second job,, save money and go back to school, probably it will take 2 or 3 years before i go back to school. i was thinking of taking an LVN test but i dont know the requirements or the steps on how to do it... anyway, did u guys get a refund after being rejected on your application to take NCLEX? |

Are we talking about CA NB?? But how could they rejected if you alreday took NCLEX twice? how did you get a permission then to take nclex? without a board approval of your diploma and permission you wouldn't be able to take license examination... or you took exam for the different board? |

| Posted over 1 year ago UPDATE. So far, there are two schools I know that offer individual courses, but the spots are limited for each class since irregular students are not a priority. These are in the bay area. SFSU, and Pierce College in Woodland, CA. Now, I got this information from other forums. I'm only passing it on.Oh, for the tuition. its 4k total. 6 units per sem. thats all I know for now. |
|

| Posted over 1 year ago p.s. the 4k is an estimate.. :"> oh.. also, anyone here who might possibly need a roommate if they decide to go to SFSU? i'm very low maintenance. haha! |

@elka Did u ever try writing an appeal to them? I'll take chances of writing an appeal but at the same time will do look for a college/university where I can take all the said subjects...
we can pass thru all of these.... @zaj1002 yeah i have a draft of my appeal already, can I just asked whom u addressed it? because Im planning to send it to the staff liaison of education and licensing committee and I am planning to send them next week but Im gonna look for a college/university, is there anyone who can suggest a school here in bay area?
