Posted about 1 year ago Have an interview with Manor Care rehab facility on Monday. Most of the information I have found is from the company. They are a for-profit corporation with multiple facilities nation wide. I am used to working for a county hospital. Does anyone have any input regarding this company? Erick von Ahn |

Posted about 1 year ago Hiya, well you never know.. Cut yourself a break.. A little tip might be is to have a friend or family member interview you.. Also, don't let them intimidate you.. Imagine them in boxer shorts and that will take the edge off..LOL But it does work.. Keep me posted...Teresa

Posted about 1 year ago Arrived 20 minutes early. The same applicant was being interviewed 20 minutes after my scheduled time. They came out and the other candidate appeared to know everyone who worked there. When I finally got to interview it was very short and focused on negatives. I have 2 more interviews with hospitals coming up. One for a better position where I currently work (but they do told me they are no longer utilizing LPNs). The other at a hospital 2 miles from home where 2 of my children were born. This position offers health insurance, which I do not get through work right now. This facility does utilize LPNs. I would love to get into this hospital, even if the position was cleaning! I am not above any position if it gets my foot in the door with a quality facility Erick von Ahn

Posted about 1 year ago Interviewed for a promotion at work today. The person I needed to speak with was making thier decision today so I had to interview after working all night and no sleep for 24hrs. I was so tired I have no idea how I did. I felt a little stupid because she kept asking me what questions I had. Working there I have a really good grasp on what needs to be done so I didn't have any, but I am afraid that may have made me look stupid. Erick von Ahn

Posted about 1 year ago Erick, that's ok.. She will be back. And even if you don't get this position, I'd still talk with her and hopefully she will understand and keep you in mind for another.. You know, we all have been through shift work and if she is kind, she will remember doing this herself. So, don't give up the prize yet, there are opportunities out there for you.. I can tell you are in this for the duration, so stay strong and you will be rewarded.. God Bless you and Erick, please keep me posted...Hugs,Teresa

Posted about 1 year ago Just landed a part time job with a great hospital. Start April 30th. Now I have my foot in the door with two great hospitals when I graduate. I am a cross of estatic and overwhelmed. Will be working two jobs and going to school full time at the same time. My LPN is only 2 months away but I have a long way to go for my BSN. Definitely overwhelmed Erick von Ahn
