@Teressa: She's asking if she can take take the nclex without graduating a nursing degree first. because shes going to be turning 21 and she also worried about her immigration status.

@steph:Well I believe the answer is NO. Because its part of your credentials to be a graduate of a nursing degree. And about the being 21 thing and going to the US. Its not really a problem, what i suggest you do and we did this also. We just went here in the states to land our visa and get the papers straighten out and then you can go back to the phil and finish your studies. You can get a re-entry permit from the immigration stating your status. And i believe they are not strict when it comes to people in school. Hope this helps.  what state are a applying to take and be licensed as a PN/RN?...if in CAL u will need your certificate then CA BON will ask for your clinical cases which needs to be completed.I guess if your clinical cases(scrubs)arent completed u can not take take NCLEX because it is a requirement...and for the immigration part i think it doesnt matter gow old u are but you need a ssn to take NCLEX and be licensed in CAL...which state are u applying?...
