Ive been an LPN for 5 years in Florida and have only worked in hospitals. Im about to take boards for my RN and am moving to New Jersey, ive been searching onlne for new grad RN positions but everwere ive applied requires BSN. Im starting an RN to MSN bridge program in September, but cant even get an interview to explain that. Not really knowing the area makes it worse. ANY advise on were to search would be great

It seems this does not help the need for Nurses, sorry to hear that but what about just go in person to where ever you are interested to work for and talk to human Resources or Nurse education Department, or do you know any friend that works in a Hospital?try keep trying I just don't feel that is right Godd Luck.

Ktystle, Congratulations on your new degree.. You must be very excited....As far as a position goes, I can't imagine that the entire state of NJ, needs only RN BSN degrees..I'm thinking it also may have to do with expierence.. I would check other places besides the hospitals. Nursing homes, schools, after school cares, health departments, charitable organizations, ARC, Corrections depart. insurance companies, pharaceutical companies, workman comp. departments you get the idea.. That's all I can think of right now, but if you think about it, I'm sure you will come up with a few also.. After a while, you will have some expierence under your belt.. Then I would reapply.. BTW, I also live in Florida and understand your change of state..Unless it's personal.. I'd like to wish you the very best of luck, and also please keep us posted... Teresa

Rocko, thank you for your kind words and posting on the forum...Teresa
