Patient care experience

Posted about 1 year ago Hi all, I had a question to throw out regarding patient care experience. Although I am doing well in my prereqs for nursing I have very little patient care experience as I work full time and have a family to provide for. Anyone have any suggestions to help me gain experience, I have recently applied at my local hospital as a nurses aide per diem but I'm afraid that without experience I don't have much of a chance.Thanks for any input, Jason |

| Posted about 1 year ago Jas, I don't think at this time during your pre-req's, you need expierence with pt care.. working per diem is a good way, but like you say, they also need the expierence unless you find yourself in a teaching facility.
