Posted 12 months ago I need help with a lower extremity wound that has me stumped. Lady is 67 healthy no big issues lil over wt. mild HTN. Some edema to lower extrem. had a shave biopsy done almost 2 months ago. Area will not heal. Had vasular checks all good found no valve probs. said 0 circulation problems. Area is 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm x 0.2 cm. Somebody please tell me wat im missing here!!!

| Posted 12 months ago What's wrong is the wound is not healing....Any Diabetes? I'd be back at the Dr.s office as many times as it takes to get this wound healed... Best of luck to you and please keep us posted,, Teresa |

| Posted 12 months ago I am the doctors wound care nurse. We do meet at office frequently. I just cant get this thing to close. I put unna boot on after ABI this morning.Hopefully will help! |

| Posted 12 months ago No DM. No other health problems mild HTN. Some swelling bilateral lower extremities but had ultrasound then had full circulatory work up at imaging center shows good circulation with no valve problems. Labs good Protein,Albumin,Pre-Albumin good. Kidney function good. What am I missing? |

| Posted 11 months ago Yes we have cultured for everything except fungus. What doyou think? Possible? I have discussed with vascular surg., wound care doc, multiple wound specialists, even new nurses for fresh eyes and mind lol.I feel like I am failing this pt.
