is the CA BRN really not open to foreign (Filipino) graduates, they're just not announcing it?

PLs. correct me if I'm wrong,  but every applicant seems to be asked for additional requirements as an introduction to ultimately

denying them?  Seems like they ask for these additional requirements, they give us time to

complete them, but they ultimately have a list of reasons to deny a Filipino applicant a permit to test?

On this forum alone, I have only read of ONE Filipino applicant who was asked for the clinical records, submitted the additional requirements

and was actually allowed to take the exam?

Also, I don't actually see a forum for applicants of other countries with discussions similar to ours. Hmmm...

Hiya, there are other forums that explain this issue.. It seems that the school programs in the Phillipines, are not as complete with the proper hours in OB/Med-Surg as in the US. That seems to be the reason the CBON requires you to take futher instructions..   I don't know if there are other applicants that have been  allowed to sit for the exams in the beginning of the of their process and I only know of very few other appicants that seem to have the same issues from other  Countries.   Teresa

I hope it isnt discriminating or something, i know its very hard for FIlipino nurses (or maybe not only Filipino nurses but other foreign educated nurses)  to go to the states and work there as an RN, they are very strict. I had my first hand experience, and it was so terrible. I hope they just made some new policy or rules and if the applicants have completed them, they should be given the chance to take the exam.

I share the same opinion.

I think that those who have been found eligible to take the exam in the past and are just retaking it should be given the permit to test.
