Posted 10 months ago I was just informed by TWU that my gpa- 2.92 in prerequisites is not good enough. I have an overall gpa of 3.5, but they are not figuring them in. I already applied to UTHSC also, but I have heard it is even harder to get into. I am 30 hours short of completing a bachelor's degree in general studies. Does anyone have an opinion on whether it is better to retake 4 freshman classes to boost gpa and then reapply to these two schools or to complete the bachelor's degree, and then try to get in? If I complete the degree, it will not boost my prerequisite gpa, as I am understanding they are not considering my other classes. I really want to get into a program as quickly as possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. |

| Posted 10 months ago Hiya, Wow that's a decision to make..You didn't say if you were working or not at this time... I think what I would do is finish your Bachelors first.. (my opinion)... Then if you so desire, go for the other classes... I can't help but think that your degree will give you an edge..It has to... Classes and prereq.s are very similar. Best of luck to you.. Please keep us posted.. I do look forward to other opinions.... Hugs, Teresa |
