Hi!  I have my first assignment as a Home Health Aide.  Boy, is real life different than classroom training!  To get my client to bed, I need to transfer him from a low scooter to a high bed.  Neither can change to be higher or lower.  I am having such a hard time getting him up into the bed.  Usually the transfer involves a lot of repositioning to get him where he needs to be on his half of a double bed.  He is very limited in his ability to help, especially being so tired at the end of the day.  Any advice?  BTW, there is no gait belt or other transfer aid.
