Do plastic surgery nurses make significantly more than other nurses? On would think this is the case since plastic surgeons make so much, but maybe that's just my addiction to Nip Tuck talking. I'm just wondering if there is any truth to this.

Historically, Nurse Anesthestists are the highest paid advance practice nurses $90k - $220k; sometimes you'll see jobs offered near $300k per annum.

I'm thinking the next highest paid would be your practitioners at around $60-$90 per annum depending on specialty, geographic location, and private practice.

Shan4691 says ... "It was the same thing everyday. Boobs, Boobs, Boobs, with an occasional liposuction thrown in."

I am just starting my career in nursing. I am going to be in the nursing program within 2 weeks from today, the 25th.

I was thinking about being a PS Nurse I checked on a website a while back its a 2-year certifcation Shan I am sure that would be boring after a while. I have  watched Dr 90210 and I enjoy what they do...they basicaly have a boob job in ever episode.  Maybe I liked it because I was praying one of those ladies with a a boob job would have lived here in the denver area and single.

I am sure if you are experiencing the same thing every day it has to get a little reduntant

Well 80229duck, I know I am taking a big risk by A-S-S-U-M-I-N-G, but I am assuming you are of the male persuasion. Our doc and CRNA were both male and it really did not matter if we did 100 augmentations in 1 week, each one to them was like the first! No offense, but in my experience boys never mature past the age of 15! You guys are so basic! It really does not take much to please you!! Just kiddin' guys, don't mean to offend! For us girls though, the 2nd augmentation was like the 100th!

I did not expect this thread resurrect  that quick,

I remember talking to someone from the amercian board of plastic surgery nurses it takes about two years to get certified...I am not going to be particular about where I go, I am going to have to worry about passing the nursing program in two weeks when I start it.

When it comes to standards I do not have that many long as they have two "x" chromosomes in their cells, breathing, they can be all natural or some aftermarket modications good heart.

Hello

I have been in Plastics before and have peformed laser surgery independent of Physicians for 11 years (with over 20 years total Laser).

I make between 40.-50. an hour plus comission.........depending on my place of work.

I'm tired of it and am currently looking to help "sick" people again.  It is why I got into Nursing.   I may just work one day a week with Laser to keep my hand in it but then again.................?  I am not so sure.

Cosmetic patients are tough to deal with.................they really are.
