Drug Testing
Most drug tests won't be taken by the company. In the majority of cases, they will contract out these services to third party testing agencies. Drug tests can also be given at home by concerned parents or spouses of a drug abuser. In order to be sure that a person is not using, they may ask them to be tested on a regular basis. Drug testing kits can be purchased which allow this to be done at home. Many people that use drugs or have experimented with them and have an upcoming drug test may be concerned about what it can detect or how long drugs stay in the system. Well, the answer is, it depends.
The type of drugs that was used, will determine how long it stays in the system. Some stay longer than others. Other factors include a person's body fat percentage, how active they are, their weight, height ,potency of the drug, how much was taken and how often a person uses. Most drug tests are urine tests. There is a standard urine test and an advanced one. Standard tests look for cannabinoids which are drugs such as hash, cannabis or marijuana. They tests check for the presence of THC in the body. Amphetamines will also show up in standard urine drug tests. These include amphetamines and ethamphetamines. Cocaine, crack, PCP and opiates such as morphine, heroin, codeine and opium can all be detected as well.
Advanced urine tests will also look for the above, plus barbiturates, ethanol or alcohol, methadone and benzodiazepines which includes things such as valium or rohypnol and qualuudes. Besides urine tests, it is also possible to test blood and hair.
Hair tests are able to determine if a person has used drugs in the last 90 days. Blood tests are given very rarely but nevertheless they are available and are an option
