Believe it or not, it is real -- part of a vast underground salt mine in Poland.

What about this watery temple?

Yes, it is real -- the famed underground Yerebatan Saray Sarnıçı, also called the Basilica Cistern, a below-ground Byzantine fresh water reservoir in downtown Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in the latter years of the Roman Empire, then forgotten until in the Middle Ages residents reported being able to catch fish from shallow wells.

Nope, it's fake.

It is real, an annual balloon regatta held in the popular tourist destination of Cappodacia, Turkey, well known for its natural cone-shaped formations, many of which have been used for centuries as houses, shops and worship centers for residents. 

 But what about this town?

It's very real! It's the town of Buford, California, population 1. The sole resident is also the mayor. He works as a janitor in a nearby town.
