Help!!!!! Can someone please explain to me what the difference is between the two. I am going to take classes starting spring at they two different programs. Surgical first assistant is just a certificate and it takes1year and the Surgical Tech is a associate in applied science and it takes 2 years. When I google both it sounded as if the Surgical first assistant was the better job. So I guess i confused on which program I should take.
