Posted about 2 years ago i ask this question just to learn more about everyone...everyone comes from different walks of life, different challenges, strengths, and weaknesses it makes us all human. growing up i never said i wanted to be a nurse....i wanted to be a dentist then a meteorologist, and a professional ballerina...well i was a dental assistant for a while and didnt love it, and i love weather but hate calc with a passion, and i blew out both knees dancing...so i was lost needless to say. When the economy started to get rough for me anyways i looked in the local paper and they had stna classes availble and i thought that healthcare might be right...so i went and applied my mother went with me to apply bc we were out and about and she told me after i applied why did i waste my time i wouldnt like working in a nursing home i would quit in a month...3 years went by and i loved it. so i considered nursing my grandmother who was dying from generalized cancer...i say generalized because by the time they found it it was all over her body and they couldnt pinpoint where it started. she was the only one who ever believed in me told me that i would be a great nurse. i actually cried in my entrance interview to nursing school bc they asked why do i want to be a nurse. lol she motivated me to pursue nursing and i am so grateful she did. I love being a nurse so what is your story...
Thanks for your time Heather and ps no one has to give their who life story like i did lol |

| Posted about 2 years ago Hello!! I want to be a nurse. I'm in college right now and I'm finishing up the last of my prereqs and I should be finished with them in the fall and in the nursing program in the spring. I started college as a music major. I love playing flute. I realized there is no stable career in music anymore. Nursing has been an interest of mine growing up. My Grandmother has been a nurse since 1970. Nursing would provide me with a career. When I was little, I used to "doctor" my brother's GI-Joes when he broke them. Nursing has always been what I wanted until I realized I was really good at flute. I'm passionate about both, but nursing will give me stability. |
