Knowing where I want to go helps me to get there. Having the destination in mind

helps me to know what is needed for the journey.

I know it's important to know what I want. And, actually, sometimes knowing what

I want is the hardest thing.

Sometimes, I need help figuring this out. Then, I have to ask, is what I want realistic.

Those entrusted to my care will probably need my help in discerning their desired

destinations. Once I help them figure out where they want to go, then I can help

them consider if their desire is realistic. I can be their travel agent.

Spirit of the journey, help me set my sights on a destination that opens my heart

and mind to the wonders of the world and human life. As I am helped, may I help

others to discern wisely those destinations that are accessible. AMEN

O God, the development of the universe continues to unfold. Help me to bring my

energies to bear in ways that are positive and full of hope. Knowing that I can

make a difference, strengthen my resolve to assist in the development of life to

the full. AMEN.

When I'm tired, I know that I need to think about how I

renew myself. After going

through difficult experiences with those whom I care

for, I know that I need to

consider the renewal that my heart requires. Once in a

while my attitude needs

adjustment. It's important to have a strategy for

renewal in place.

I suppose one of the first things I need to consider is

whether or not I am getting

enough rest. It may seem impossible but I know if it's

important to my ability

to offer heartfelt care, I'll find a way to rests renewal.

If I'm rested then

I can find those other things that will bring a rebirth of

my care.

O Divine Rest, give me the direction to renew my heart,

mind and spirit. Make it

possible for me to find the means to continue offering

care with a heart full of

love and compassion. AMEN
