Student Nurse Extern question?

Posted about 2 years ago I am about to start Nursing school, and I was told by a couple of people who are RNs that I can increase my chances of employment right after graduation, by becoming a Student Nurse Extern. They said I would have to have at least 1 semester of Clinicals done before I can be a SNE. My questions are, how much do Student Nurse Externs typically get paid? I have heard it is between $10-$15 an hour. Also, do Student Nurse Externs work full time? And do they follow a typical nurse shift of 12 hours? Thanks |

| Posted about 2 years ago The pay depends on where you live. It's typically about what a tech or pct would make. The hours depend on the particular program and whether or not you're externing during the semester or the summer break. |
