I have my LVN license and a degree in Journalism. I'm planning on going to school to become a doctor but I'm not sure if my LVN GPA, (not my courses) will count towards the admission process. If it does count, then my GPA will be pretty high and I'll have more options open for me. I was told to submit all my transcripts from all colleges to AMCAS and that my GPA will be averaged out. But, I just want to be sure my LVN GPA will count toward something. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

every school is different. you will have to get in touch with your admissions dept at university. that is going to be the best place to get the correct answer

Heather is dead on.  I had some of my credits accepted and others not.  None counted for my GPA.  I took a Child Psychology class again, because my junior college class was 1 semester hour short of the requirement.  I was technically a Senior in my Sophomore year (graduated with about 215 credits for a 120 credit degree).

It really does depend on what Admissions does with your transcripts.  Make sure that you send them everything.  Some schools have been known to accept CEU's for undergraduate credit.  It's worth trying.

Good luck.
