I graduated high school and didn't do so well but still finished. I plan on attending my local vocational school's LPN program. Is it possible and worth while to become a NP?

That is an question that only you can answer.

First, see if you could shadow an NP for a day and figure out how badly you want to train for that;

IF you decide that is what you want and are willing to devote the next several years to learning how to do that and take out student loans; then the answer is yes.

This is one of those Jedi Knight things.  You are cut out for it or you are not  AND if you are cut out for it, you will do everything you need to do to get it.
