OMG!!!!!! I took the NCLEX yest. and got home and tried that trick I have been hearing about. I keep getting the message your resutls are on hold. But, it doesn't say anything about contacting the boards. DId I pass or fail??? Anyone else get this message? I have checked at least ten times, I am becoming OCD with it. My name doesn't have a number on my state board verify a license yet. I am so terrified ;( I have taken that thing repeatedly and I do not want the heartache of failing again. It hurts so much to want it so bad, then be disappointed. Please if anyone has any comments or if you got this message (good or bad) please drop me a line. I will inform you all of my results either way, but I am praying like never before for a good outcome.

I checked that message again today, and still message comes up. I want to be positive as it is mothers day I have six children to support and desperately need a job. I want to get started on my path to becoming a great nurse in the workplace, however, it is out of my hands (it is God's will now) But I still want it so badly. I hope to get my results, but I don't want em' if they are bad, not today. I take that back, I want to know so that I can either have a good cry and keep studying or party like it's 1999 (I missed that one :) ) PLease anyone with information on this result please let me know if there is ever a good outcome. Thank you.

Dear Terrified,

I'm really not sure, but I used the Pearson Review check and it wouldn't let me get pass the registration process. I guess in part to the fact that why re-register if  you passed . They may not have your results yet, but just take a deep breath and RELAX!!!! I know how trying to get your results are frustrating, but give it time, you'll get them. In the mean time, keep on keeping on, and buzz us with an update.

Cool, then you should hear pretty soon.. When I took my boards, in 1974, I had to use a # 2 pencil and the results came in the snail mail..

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.. Hugs,Teresa

I failed :( I thought for sure that I passed, so I was so disappointed and just cried my eyes out. That won't do me any good, I know, but I feel so aweful about it. Oh well, I got the results in the mail and I only failed one catagory Basic nursing care. OMG, I cannot believe I failed that part of it. I will just have to study, study, study or I will never pass. I feel bad because when I feel bad, my kids feel bad for me. I have to be the rock for the family. I just told them everything will be fine and I will pass when I am really ready. I guess it's not God's plan for me yet. I know if I don't try to pass, I never will, so I have to be positive. It really feels bad though. I don't know how I can do so great in nursing school and suck on this test, and keep failing it. I just want it past me, I don't care if I ever get a job in the nursing field at this point it is a quest.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers, it just wasn't my time yet. I will keep you all posted. Does anyone know of a good review course, that seems to have great results?

Thank you for the words of encouragement. That must have been terrible to wait so long to get your results. I failed the test . I feel so bad. But I will never give up. That is what counts I guess. I wouldn't want to go into the field and hurt someone because I didn't know what I was doing. I will let you know when I take it again. Thanks again for your support. Terrified

Terrified...

I am so sorry that you didn't pass this time.. However, don't give up, you've put to much into this career.. A suggestion if you don't mind... Find someone that was in your class room  form a study buddy club, your Nursing instructor can probably help you get a holdof some students.too.. Saunders Review and LIppencott's workbook are the ones I suggest  for my students to  practice with..Also there are some great quizzes on this site, and all kinds of practice quizzes on the internet for free. You can do it. You keep studying and I'll keep praying for you..

Hugs,Teresa

terrified,

Im sorry you didnt pass but keep your head up.  i would try to get in a study group or if u perfer to go at it alone (which i did) i would recommend getting a nclex study guide with a cdrom.  i used the lippincott for LPNs...the cd-rom makes it where you can pick certain peices parts and it will give u the rationals. plus you can take tests and it breaks it down on which section you missed (so u can study those more) and why you missed the questions. it helped me soo much.

good luck and keep us posted
