What made you become a nurse?

Posted about 2 years ago I have wanted to be a nurse since I was 10 years old. I tended to all my pets and dolls like they were my patients on a hospital ward. I have known all my life that this was my chosen profession. I just naturally care about people and want to make them better if I can. I have the belief that as a kid I knew what I was meant to do, take care of my fellow men and women. |

| Posted about 2 years ago It's a long storybut, my Dad was very sick, slept all of the time and lost 70 # in a short time..When we took him to the Dr, he couldn't figure out what was wrong with him..Finally i very bad night we took him to the hospital via ambulance... With in about 20 minutes we found out that he was adult onset diabetes...(diabetic coma) I was so angry I wanted to work in that hospital, if not just to kick this jerks A@@.. But in the long wrong, after I started working Trauma, I saw the same doctor do some serious mistakes and it was my pleasure to let him know what he did wrong.. Needless to say , he tried to stay out of my way..He would actually look at the nurses schedule to see when I was working and made his appearance slim and next to none.I really liked that hospital and worked trauma for 20 years.. Joke: What do you calla doctor that graduates last in his class.
