| Posted almost 2 years ago Welcome KrissyKay0583, Hi, and welcome to Nursing Link! I do know that here in Florida, there are alot of home health positions open, but you need at least 1 yr of experience, not sure about other states. It seems like you are on the right track, visiting your local nursing homes and handing out your resume. I know that in Florida, once you have registered to take the NCLEX-PN/RN, you will get to work as a GN until your official test results come in. After the results come in, and if you don't pass, you get moved to a lower position until you sit to take the exam again, that's the way it goes in Florida. I wish you GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
, and new to nursing. Just graduated from an LPN program in Ohio and moved to North Carolina to be closer to family. I am waiting on my ATT and then I am going to pay 50 dollars I beleive to change the state I am registered to test in ( the school I went to registered everything for you, so it had to be state of Ohio). So far as I can tell from the board of nursing sites, it should be no problem ( fingers crossed). Has anyone else had any experience with registering for NCLEX then moving? Also, all the jobs hiring it seems are home health care and I was told in nursing school that HHC is no good for nurses with no experience. I thought I could go around to the local nursing homes and give them my resume, does this seem like a good idea? Will they even consider me since I havent taken the NCLEX yet? Alright I guess that's enough questions for now, I am just so clueless about all of this and i have no one to guide me. Thanks so much and I look forward to getting to know you all!
