She couldn't prescribe you any medication. She just can't say what it might be, she has to do test on you, that's what you are paying for. We are just nurses, she should of gave you that information, you shoudn't have to ask a nurse. Doctors get payed making diagnosis, and curing people, we just don't make diagnosis, just nurses diagnosis only. You should go to another doctor, and get a second opinion, if the doctor said you might have goiter, she should of started you on, iodine therapy. When I first saw your posting, I said it might be a thyroid enlargment problem, but I am no doctor, so I can't make that diagnosis. There are two kind hypothryroidism ,and hyperthyroidism, from what I read, one makes you lose weight, and other makes you gain weight.

chg, it seems DriClor is a UK based product so you may only be able to order it off the net or ask a pharmacy to order it for you. It appears Amazon.com carries it

I'm not a genius here, I just couldn't find any reference to tawas but a town in Michigan until I kept looking. it's known as tawas crystals. http://www.tawascrystal.com

ok,,thanks to all of you,,

cuttie: thanks for the advice,,i went to the hospital yesterday.. i tried to talk with an endecronologist.. the doctor told me that i need to conduct blood testing and iodine screening, because all of my symptoms are common in goiter.. like my metabolism.. i eat a lot! and im not getting fat or gaining weight,, and sweating also one of the signs, oh... how i wish its not goiter.. bacause i think my fast metabolism is in our blood (maybe?) i dont know... hehe,,because even my father, mother and siblings doesnt gain weight too...and their not getting fat,, our family is food monsters! hehe,,i mean we cant stop eating a lot and make our stomach full...!! hehe

i hope my sweating situation is not that critical.. i hope its all because of my pores or bieng too much stressed..
thanks for the concern =)

dmazment: thank you,,i found it over the net.. dri-clor is available in our local drugstores.. but it cost too much.. but i'll still buy one. i'll have to save my allowance to buy one dri-clor for me. my aunt told me that dri-clor is really effective. thanks for the concern =)

al_chamizo: yeah,, i already used tawas/crystals before.. but it doesnt work. my problem is too much sweating,, and i think tawas is for the odor control only.. i my under arm doesn't have any bad smell at all.. it just sweat a lot... specially when im too much excited or anxious.. hehe..

thanks for the concern =)

thanks to all of you,, uhm... i dont use a deodorant because it makes my situation worst! and it makes my underarm black./dark.. i'll try to check all the sites you have given.

thank you! =)

and oh..... hehe,, advance happy valentines to all!!!

have a sweet date with your love ones... =)

chq, I understand how difficult this can be. My hands/feet sweat a lot and I don't like holding hands or people touching my hands because of it. I've talked to my doctor....very frustrating...sometimes it seems like doctors just don't want to bother with people. I have read about botox injections into the hands but this is expensive. I'm curious about the tarwas crystals. I think you just have to be persistent when it comes to your own healthcare. Keep trying until you can find a doctor that will actually listen and try to help.

thank you. yeah, its really hard to hold hands togehter with other people because after they hold my hands, they wipe it! then they look at me.. like.... "uh..? whats with your hands? a faucet?" oh... its too embarasing.. specially with my armpit.. the sweat stains my blouse.. then somebody begn to notice it.. then,,, im sooo embarassd. my sweating problem affects my self confidence, because i cant do things properly,, like.. when i raise up my arms.. my armpit is perspired.. then,, if i hold hands with others... they're holding with a tissue or something to wipe on. er.. i keep trying different products. all my doctors have the same answers with my problem.. so,, they recommend the driclor product,,which is expensive.. but im now starting to save money to buy one. thank you for the care. =) godbless.

JB and CHQ, I use to use fine granulated tawas crystals mixed with pure talcum powder (5-1 mixture) in a small cotton (440 ct) pouch (about the size of a 3x3) , then put the pouch inside another pouch of the same size with the texture is like a bath towel, when I felt sweaty I just rub it on my hands, arms, neck, face. It worked well for me; a good application would give me about an hour of dryness between applications.
