Just wondering if I have to register and pay the $200 with Pearson before the state will send the ATT letter. I've applied for licensure and paid the $91 to Continental  Testing (I'm in Illinois), but I haven't yet come up with the $$ for Pearson. Am I going to get my ATT letter anyhow, or will it not be sent out until I'm registered at Pearson?

Thanks for any info you may have!

Dear Nursling,

I live in Florida and I registered with my BON for the ability to sit for my exam, and then I registered with Pearson to pay for the actual test. I don't know how Illnois does it, but it's probably the same. You probably have to register with Pearson before you get your ATT. I hope my 2 cents helps, GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you have to register with Pearson Vue first.  Our school made us register with them a month in advance.

Thanks for the answers!

And yes, just in case anyone else is wondering and finds this thread, it turns out the ATT letter comes from Pearson, not from "the state" as someone at my school told us. So yes, you have to apply to your state (in Illinois, that's through Continental Testing) and pay them AND register at Pearson and pay them before you'll get your ATT.

...which I got via email today! (I also didn't know they'd send it through email, but I'm glad; it made it much faster than waiting for the snail mail!)

Yes you have to register with Pearsonvue first. Then the pearsonvue will notify your board about your registration, and if you are already approved, they will issue your nclex ATT.
