Hi everyone,

I posted here about a year ago and found some helpful tips. Now, we're picking up our whole family, changing all of our plans, and moving to Dallas, TX from Cape Cod, MA. So far, I've only been able to find 2 nursing schools in that area, Univ. of Texas Arlington (On Campus & Online) and El Centro Community College. I'm hoping someone reads this and can help me find some additional schools to apply to. This could include any private nursing schools. (NOTE: I've already looked in the Texas group and didn't find anything there.)

Additionally, I am seeking advice on the best way to get my RN and ultimately my MSN. I already have a BA in another field, so I can join an accelerated program, however, my job will pay 100% of nursing school up to "X" dollars per year, I don't know the exact amount though. I do know that it won't cover the tuition of an accelerated program. Ultimately I'm wondering if I should try to get my Associate's RN, then join a RN to BSN program. The other option is to try for a traditional BSN, if I can do that in 2 or 3 years, given that I have a BA already, does anyone know if this is feasible?

Thanks for your help!

Hiya, I'm not sure about the schools there but try to locate them on line. Do a good and indepth search..I wish you  have an easy adjustment to Texas,(very different from Ma) God Bless you in your future endeavors.. You may want to talk with some counselors at a few schools, They may be able to advise you of this matter...Keep us posted.. Teresa

If your job is offering to pay for tuition but unsure of the accelerated programs it sounds like it would be the same thing but I would check with your employer first.

You could try an accelerated rn to bsn online program like I am taking here http://www.onlinerntobsndegrees.com/training_courses and you will finish in about 2 years if you take your classes regularly.

What other field do you have your BA in?  Hopefully some courses will transfer if the field is closely related.  If you find a school that offers credit granting that is even better!
