Posted almost 2 years ago Another thought. Make at least two copies of your records. Keep one at a location different than the originals and another off-site with parents or a friend. Multiple reasons: robbery, fire, filing mistake, etc. Best of luck, Tom

Posted almost 2 years ago Yes, good advice. I did, however, send all copies to my Lawyer's office.

Posted almost 2 years ago Ask the lawyer if they would make copies, or if too expensive, ask if you can pick them up to copy and return them. I had my lawyer use his high-speed scanner and send me an electronic copy (3 boxes of documents from a disability law suit). Never let documents like that leave your hands without your copying it. All the things that I listed, can happen on the lawyers side as well. Just an FYI for the future. Tom

Posted almost 2 years ago Absolutely, RUN DO NOT WALK in your job search. I was also recently terminated - had worked for 30 yrs with this company. Had a run of extremely bad luck = personal issues followed by illness, surgery, severe auto accident, extended recovery and they fired me shortly after I returned to work. I have been collecting unemployment - the unemployment office actually said I had a possible wrongful termination case!!!! I wish you the best of luck - please move on quickly for your own sanity.

Posted almost 2 years ago I got unemployement with no hearing. They stated that I did nothing wrong and granted me unemployemnt. As for the person that said something fishy. Well there is not this all happened. And YES I hired a Lawyer. Ground the whistle blowers act. Now that I won unemployement as per my lawyer I have a stronger case.

Posted almost 2 years ago I just heard from my lawyer and he is going to accept the wrongful termination case. He is using the whistle blower act. I am so glad. Maybe this will teach them a lesson I am only the 4th wrongful termination case agaist them. Sad that the owner of this company does not see their seinor management are idiots. I did nothing wrong and did not deserve to be treated so poorly. I will keep you posted. AGH

Posted almost 2 years ago Congratulations. If they keep it up too long, it will have to be a class-action suit.

Posted almost 2 years ago What I do not understand is why the owner of the company does not get rid of his upper management. That might solve most of the problems.

Posted almost 2 years ago Boy, you aren't kidding those surprise audits - usually because there was a problem you self reported - that last all week- and they come back again and again and again! Aren't they special. It doesn't sound like this facility will fare well does it?! Vicki

Posted almost 2 years ago Question, If a nurse refuses to call 911 for a patient/resident. Isn't she violating nursing standard of care? Couldn't the nurse lose her license???
