Dear Rafela,

Welcome to NL!!!!!! My name is Shonna or 09157238. I studied using a CD-ROM, it had 5,000 questions and rationales. I think computer studying helped me. I would get on the computer and spend 3-4 hours each day going through different sections-Pharmacology, OB, Peds, Med-Surg. I concentrated on sections I did poorly on, and took exams, usually 205 questions. I did this for 2 weeks before my scheduled test. It helped me to focus my studying, and not just memorizing. The test is trying to determine your competency to practice safely, not how many you get right or wrong.

Don't spend too much time on cramming, it doesn't work!!!!! Get plenty of rest 6-8 hours. Eat healthy-variety is the spice of life. Plenty of H20,too. There ,are so many study guides to the NCLEX you may want to check this site to look for study tools. Don't overstress yourself, you know you can only do your best, and that's all !!!!! GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear CPACHAK,

Saunders is a good study source!!!!!! There are so many to choose from-Prentice Hall Comprehensive, Kaplan, Mosby's just to name a few more!!!! You have one with a CD-ROM, that breaks the NCLEX-PN into sections, so you're off to a excellent start!!!!! I used Prentice Hall and it had a CD-ROM with 5,000 questions and rationales- it also had exam and quiz modes!!!!!!! Use the disc- very helpful study tool to make you focus on your weaknesses!!!!!!! I also attende a NCLEX-PN review @ my school with cost $150.00 and lasted 2 days-it was worth it/material that took a year to cover only took 2 days!!!!!!
