Hello Everyone. I am just starting my generals this year in hopes of being accepted into a nursing program to being the fall of 2012.  I was wondering if anyone had tips or suggestions on getting accepted or how to make my application stand out.  I have been communicating with the hospital here in my hometown to do some volunteer work and took a CNA class at the red cross, although i did not get state certified. The school i really want to get into only accepts 30 students a year!!!! :/ So i have been starting to get nervous and want to do my best on everything! I have a pretty good GPA 3.4 from High School and hope to improve it with this coming year of classes.  Any suggestions from graduates, current nurses, or other people applying would be greatly appreciate!! :] Thanks!!!

Dear Jessa Mae 21,

You have to get started early, the school only accepts 30 students!!!!! I know that when I wanted to get into LPN school, I had to take the NET. I brought a study guide, and began 2-3 hours of intense cramming-Reading Comprehension,Science, and Algebra!!!!! My exam was Reading Comprehension and Algebra-had to make certain scores in both areas!!! If you have an interview process, be truthful with your answers!!!! Don't spend too much time on any one thing, but focus on all areas of the process-Entrance test, Applying on time-make sure you have all transcripts of previous schools, and scheduling your interview!!!!!  I know in my program  that for each step of the process, every prospective student received points. Don't get nervous, but BE PREPARED!!!!!!!!!!

I hope my 2 cents helps and welcome to NL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
