Has anyone here utilized the Excelsior College or The College Network to turn their LPN into an RN degree?

If you have, can you share your experiences?

The college network cannot grant a degree - it is a publishing company only.  Don' t waste your money when you can go directly through Excelsior or ISU and save the $5000 that TCN charges for their worthless books.  Seriously.  Go directly through the college - you'll be paying them anyway.

NursePam2010, There are other places on line that do give education and traing.. Do a search and contact if necessary..At the end, you should have to go to New York for some  clinicals. Best of luck and please keep us posted...

Nurse Pam, There are good credit-by-examination programs out there but  be sure to find one that offers live training, really good support, and has a high pass rate. I've heard one program that is supposed to be very good, because they have RN's that do the teaching, and you can go to their campuses or do the classes virtually online. tt's called Achieve Test Prep, you may want to check them out. It's http://www.achievetestprep.com/forum is their forum area to see what people are saying. Good luck!
