i graduated in 2007 and took my NCLEX-RN in 2009 and failed. i havent been making way for studying again, but i plan to go back to an RN program to refresh my education. do i still need to reapply with the California Board of Nursing in order to take the exam again? ( get transcripts, pay fee, fingerprint ID). or do they still have my files from 2009 and do i still just opt for a retake fee? please help me on this one. thanks! :)

Dear AREMBE,

I'm not real sure how the re-take policy for NCLEX-RN works after 3 years!!!!! You may have to take a refresher course-check with your BON they can answer your questions!!!!!! I know that in Florida, you can take it up to 3 times then after that, you must take a remedial course before sitting for the exam again for a 4th time!!!!!!! I would contact CBON and find out what I needed to do to sit for the exam again-just  remember the only dumb question is the one not asked!!!! GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My name is Shonna or 09157238, and welcome to NL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
