Hello all, 

I am currently taking my prerequisites for Nursing. This semester I am in Anatomy and Physiology 1. I have been in the class for about 3 weeks now, and I'm really excited about it but I can't quite figure out how to study correctly for the quizzes. So far, we've taken 2 quizzes and my grades on both were B's. This is slightly dissapointing to me, but our instructor said that he was going to drop the lowest 2 quiz grades. So for the upcoming quiz, I'm trying to figure out the best way to study that will give me an A instead of a B. The next quiz will be over Cells. 

My instructor uses power point slides during class, he does no actual writing on the board and its very hard to pay attention. He posts the power point slides online as well for the class to look at. He also told us that the information we need to know for the quiz will come directly from the PP slides, so he said to focus on the slides and not so much on reading the textbook. 

Since I need to know the information thats on the slides, I decide to make flashcards of that info. Then I realize that the slides have 4 parts, each of which have 9 pages with 6 slides on each page. This is a huge amount of information for me to put on flashcards. 

HOW am I supposed to study for this class? I enjoy using the CD program that comes with my textbook, I've installed it on my computer and I LOVE it, BUT I still feel like I need to be writing something down, something I can take with me and study on the go.

Any tips are appreciated!

My student used to use flash cards by the hundreds.. I also made copies of the hman body and then they would look for the list of the parts of the body..Sometimes they would color the areas... Hope that might help you abit..Hugs,Teresa
