Do any of you have/had Hip Problems, Bursitis and....?

Hello,  I was wondering if any of you have or had bursitius or hip problems and if so how are you coping and/or what did you do to get help? 


I am strongly considering nursing (LVN) and have a hip problem and am concerned if I would physically be able to do the job.


Please advise and or share your experience.

As a matter of fact-have hip problems-didn't stop me from becoming a LPN!!!!!!! You may want to get your Dr.'s okay before starting clinicals-lot of 8 hour shifts on feet with pt. care!!!!! GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have back problems, but when it gets complicated, the Sacral-Iliactic Joint (SI joint) can be affected, as can several trigger points, such as the piriformis and gluteal TP's. 


If you are concerned (and you seem to be), I would schedule an appointment with a Physiatrist and be evaluated to see what the extent of your condition is and if it would be a concern for you in the future.  Well worth the trip.
