I've never heard of a holistic doctor. I have heard of a holistic approach to nursing/medicine. When I think of holistic, it means to me taking care of the whole person not just a disease process. To be holistic you would take into account the psycho-social, spiritial, physical and mental well-being. MDs (medical doctor) and DOs (doctor of osteopathic medicine) have a different philosphy of medicine. MDs look for and treat disease processes whereas DOs do the same but have a more holistic approach. I hoped this helped.

there are many doctors who are now practicing holistic care. We have done that in nursing for hundreds of years. Now, the doctors are starting. Most will advirtise as holistc care.
