Appreciate any advice

Posted over 1 year ago Hi, I'm 45, work full time, married, and have two kids ( home schooled ). I am thinking about going to Nursing School. I have an Associate Degree plus some additional college. Some of that will transfer. Has anyone here worked full time and went to Nursing School? Was it hard to work in your clinicals? Can you take classes part time? What classes can be taken on-line? Any advice or encouragement would be great. Thanks in advance. |

I'm sure we have plenty on NL that have worked FT during nursing school, but I didn't!!!!!! I attended LPN school in my little town of Chipley,FL. It took me 1 year-also have an AS!!!!!!! I know that working FT and going to school can be done-had alot of folks in my class that did it!!!! Some had families, too. I don't think my program allowed any PT students-had to be FT due to clinicals!!!! I say take a visit to your nearest college/technical school and speak to a counselor and let them know your plans!!!!!!!!!!!! You may want to check out their nursing school if they have one-instructors there can offer some sound advice, too!!!!!!!! There may be classes that can be taken on-line, but my program didn't have any-just ask your college/technical school advisor!!!!!!! Remember the only dumb question is the one not asked!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!!!!!! My name is Shonna or 09157238, and welcome to NL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
